SevenSeas: CAAS Platform - Admin and cardholder portals
Modernizing Card Services for Efficiency and Scalability
Role
Product Manager
Industry
Fintech

Introduction
The SevenSeas CAAS Platform was transformed to modernize its infrastructure, improve usability, and enhance operational efficiency. By transitioning from Visa to Mastercard, replacing outdated systems, and implementing scalable technologies like Angular and .NET Core, the platform now offers a suite of advanced features such as card management, financial tools, and compliance enhancements. These improvements ensure secure, reliable, and adaptable services tailored to the needs of both users and stakeholders.
Challenges
Switching Card Providers: Transitioning from Visa to Mastercard required reconfiguring existing systems and processes.
Outdated Technology: The platform relied on a legacy Cards-as-a-Service (CAAS) solution, which limited its functionality and scalability.
Ensuring No Service Disruption: Updating systems without causing downtime or risking users losing access to their cards was critical.
Regulatory Compliance: All new features had to comply with stringent Swiss Central Bank regulations.
Legacy Systems Integration: Modifying or replacing the platform’s legacy infrastructure required meticulous planning and execution to minimize risks.
Solution
To address these challenges, the Admod platform underwent a comprehensive transformation:
Modernized UI/UX: The CAAS platform’s user interface and user experience were redesigned to improve usability and staff productivity.
Introduction of New Features:
Card management capabilities: revoke cards, card replacement history.
Financial tools: transfer funds, transaction dashboard visualization, currency exchange.
Security enhancements: control card settings, limits, OTP-based authentication, Google Authenticator integration.
Compliance improvements: audit trail for user activities and integration with ComplyAdvantage API.
Technology Stack Optimization: The platform was rebuilt using Angular and .NET Core, ensuring that services were designed to handle a high volume of requests while providing efficient and reliable response times. This architecture enabled the platform to be scalable, easily maintainable, and flexible enough to adapt to changing business needs.
My Role
As the Product Manager leading this project, my responsibilities included:
Defining the Scope of the MVP: Determining the core features needed for the initial release.
Prioritizing Deliverables: Collaborating with stakeholders to ensure the most impactful features were developed first.
Gathering Requirements: Collecting input from stakeholders and end-users to define user stories and acceptance criteria.
Facilitating Agile Sprints: Coordinating sprints to ensure smooth progress and timely delivery.
Cross-Functional Team Coordination: Leading a diverse team comprising 4 frontend engineers, 6 backend engineers, 1 designer, and 3 QA engineers.
Stakeholder Communication: Acting as the primary liaison between the technical team and key stakeholders to provide updates, manage expectations, and gather feedback.
